Cita playing with our friend Vedran
Cita (her full name is Đana Colonia Aurelia Cibale) is Croatian Sheepdog. She is the member of native croatian breed, very agile and inteligent, made for working with all kind of domestic animals – in the past of this breed, it was used to help its humane partner with sheeps, cows and horses.
Today, this part of the history of the breed gives you just one reason to get this dog – the other one and the great challenge is to make him be succesfull competitor in agility or in other dog sports – his natural abilities make him excellent sporting dog.
Well, Cita is not competing in any dog sport, because her owner is to busy to train her, but she still have enough job to do: she has to be a watchdog when her amstaff and pug friends are sleeping in warm house and she has to fitness train her friends. She is excellent in disciplining young stubborn dogs – her methods are energetic and fast but leave no wounds – just good associations and fast learning of pack discipline.

Of course she has to deal with all other animals on our farm, to discipline goats and horses when necessary. Cita has a famous sense of all parts of our animal company – she will even found a lost chicken!
But, if you have just start to think this is first best dog on the earth, sorry, but I have to tell you some other things about Croatian Sheepdogs – they are barking a lot, not just to make noise when they have a reason, but to tell to all other creatures on the earth how they feal.
They bark when they are happy, they bark when they are excited, they bark when they are afraid... We are used to quiet and stabile tempered amstaffs and, let's say the truth, Cita sometimes makes us crazy with her barking.
